Welcome to Elm class's area of the website. Here you will find all the information you require to support your child in Elm class this term. Elm class is our Upper Key Stage two class and consists of Year 5 and Year 6 pupils. Mrs Winter is the class teacher. The Learning Support Assistants across the week are Mrs Sands, Mrs Curquejo and Mrs Jones.
Elm Class will be enjoying Forest School on Wednesday in terms 1,3 and 6, with Miss Sherwood, our Forest School Lead. PE is on Wednesday and Friday, we ask you to leave PE kit in school all week.
We make sure we have lots of fun and plan exciting, engaging and practical activities for the children to explore! Any trips and themed days will be advised via Arbor and letters will be sent home so watch this space!

Please support your child by helping them with home learning. Our expectations for Year 5 and 6 are:-
Daily
- Read 5 – 10 minutes daily
- 3 days decoding
- 2 days comprehension skills
Weekly
- Word Knowledge – Using school focused spelling patterns to embed knowledge in sentence construction.
- Multiplication booklet and any maths set for the week
