Welcome to Elm classes area of the website. Here you will find all the information you require to support your child in Elm class.
Elm class consists of Year 5 and 6.
Mrs Winter is the teacher in Elm Class.
Assisting Mrs Winter are Miss Sherwood, Mrs Jones and Mrs Sands
PE for Elm Class is on Wednesday (Outdoor Forest School sessions are on Monday).
Our outdoor Forest School earning sessions will be:
Year 5 and 6: Term 3 (on Monday’s) and Term 4 (day tbc)
We make sure we have lots of fun and plan exciting, engaging and practical activities for the children to explore! Any trips and themed days will be advised via Studybugs and letters will be sent home so watch this space!

Please support your child by helping them with home learning. Our expectations for Year 5 and 6 are:-
Daily
- Read 5 – 10 minutes daily
- 3 days decoding
- 2 days comprehension skills
Weekly
- Word Knowledge – Using school focused spelling patterns to embed knowledge in sentence construction.
- Multiplication booklet and any maths set for the week
